GizmoMate does not work with the current version of Gizmo.
It requires a very old version (One of the early releases of version 3, I don't remember the exact version) that I don't recommend running.

1.0 Beta 4 (04/04/2007)

Support for B2K devices (And limited B3G)

Fixed speakerphone issues on P4K

Updated caller ID (Can now answer incoming calls w/ Gizmo 3.0)

Lots of other stuff I can't remember.

1.0 Beta 3 (11/23/2006)

Incoming caller ID fixed! (Even on the first ring!)

Support for P4K (Backlight, speaker phone, volume control)

Ability to dial + character (Hold down the * key)

Contact list navigation updated - Now selects Contacts tab automagically

P1K now has volume control

    (Up/Down = Speaker +/-, Left/Right = Microphone -/+)

Changing the ringtone plays a preview now

Updated icons to 32bit color (No more jaggies around the edge)

1.0 Beta 2 (09/09/2006)

Now with more beta goodness!

Incoming calls should work correctly now.

Download link is to the left. Click it. Now. You know you want to.

I'm still looking for feedback. See below for that.

1.0 Beta 1 (07/27/2006)

Oh yeah, I went there. Download on the left.

I'd really appreciate feedback (Ex: I think I found a bug, it sucks, it's ugly, you smell funny, you're hot, can I pay you lots of monies to make my phone work too?, etc.)

*UPDATE* It seems incoming calls may be broken. Thanks Eugenia.

Holy smokes, an update! (07/25/2006)

So, after pretty much dropping the project...

I had a quick chat with Eugenia (Perhaps one of my heroes of the web), and she said she was interested in the driver. Well since I'd never actually talked to anybody besides myself that was actually interested in the driver, I found a renewed interest. A couple of hours later, I finished it.

Yup. I said finished. Not only does dialing out work, incoming calls work, contact list navigation works, it can minimize to the system tray, it can auto reconnect if the phone gets unplugged, it can auto reconfigure itself if Gizmo gets closed, etc. It's basically on par with any of the other "*Mate" drivers from Yealink.

It needs some finishing touches (Like the ability to change the ringtone), and I've only tested it with my P1K at this point (I'm too lazy to unplug my P4K and give it a shot), but it seems to work like it should.

The driver's coming very soon. Promise. At this point I'd say within the next week.

Things you can do to make it come faster: (Updated too! Now with less stuff!)

  • Send me money (Hey, it's worth a shot!)
